A useful product photograph should show the item clearly and fit the surrounding catalogue. Consistency comes from a repeatable background, aspect ratio and amount of space around the object. Imvori’s Product photos tool prepares these settings without asking you to build layers or a page layout. It does not change the item’s material, repair its geometry or invent a missing part.
Open Product photosPrepare the foreground
If the photograph has an opaque background and you want a different one around the item, use Remove background first. This tool uploads the image for CPU-based foreground segmentation and returns a transparent PNG. Fine edges, reflective surfaces, glass and overlapping objects may need extra care; inspect the outline instead of assuming every cutout is perfect. An image that already has transparency can go directly to Product photos.
Choose the canvas and background
Open Product photos on the selected image. Choose Square at 1200 × 1200, Portrait at 1200 × 1500 or Landscape at 1600 × 1200. Select a background color that makes the item easy to see. The template fits and centers the product without cropping it. With an opaque input it retains the original photograph’s background inside the placed image; choosing a new canvas color does not automatically remove that background.
Set the space around the item
Product margin is a percentage of the canvas’s shorter edge. It controls the minimum fitting space, not a guarantee that every side has exactly the same visible gap. A tall bottle and a wide box keep their original proportions, so one pair of edges may have more empty space. Trim transparent space lets the template fit the visible object rather than the old empty canvas. Turn it off if you deliberately want to retain that framing.
Use a shadow only when useful
The optional soft shadow adds separation from the background. It is a visual effect derived from the placed image, not a reconstruction of the original lighting. On a fully opaque photograph it can outline the photograph’s rectangle rather than a product silhouette. For a more natural cutout shadow, start with a transparent foreground. Small sources are enlarged to fill the template, so a low-resolution photo may still look soft.
Prepare several products together
Expand Products / Batch and choose Product photo templates. Add up to 20 supported images and select one common set of canvas, margin, color and shadow settings. Images are processed sequentially in the browser, with a 12-megapixel source limit per image and an 80 MB result limit. Download the ZIP or open an individual result in the studio for another edit. Choose PNG or WebP when you need transparency elsewhere in the workflow; JPEG uses a solid background.
